TalkSwitch PBX Feature Description

TalkSwitch telephone systems are loaded with all of the features that small businesses need and big businesses take for granted. TalkSwitch is a complete PBX with auto attendants, voicemail, VoIP capabilities, advanced call management and much more. TalkSwitch includes the features that other companies charge extra for. Unlike phone company services such as voicemail or call forwarding, you don’t have to pay every month. Call forward, find-me/follow-me, ring groups, music on hold, mode scheduling and call screening are just a few of the built-in TalkSwitch features.

Analog Phones and Devices - Our systems work with your existing phones, fax, modems and answering machines. By using existing equipment you can save money by not having to purchase proprietary equipment.
Auto Attendant - Greet callers with up to 9 user configurable self recorded messages to offer touch tone choices and connect callers to the appropriate extensions. It's like having your own receptionist.
Auto Fax Detection - Automatically route faxes to your fax machine without having a dedicated fax line.
Call Back / Call Bridge - TalkSwitch's Call Back / Call Bridge features gives you access to your office-based long distance savings plan from anywhere around the world. Let's your long distance savings plan travel with you.
Call Cascade - TalkSwitch can perform a series of actions based on a Local, Remote, or Ring Group Extension being Busy, Not Answered, Screened, or has Do Not Disturb engaged. With Call Cascade, TalkSwitch can make several attempts to locate you before sending the caller to voicemail.
Call Conference - Conference up to 3 parties together on the same call.
Call Forwarding - Allows you to have calls forwarded, either manually or automatically, to any local or remote extension, to a ring group, or voice mailbox. TalkSwitch pro-actively keeps you in contact with your clients. This reduces telephone/voicemail tag.
Call Hold, Transfer - Hold calls from any extension with music or advertising-on-hold. Transfer calls to local or remote extensions, ring groups, or voicemail. TalkSwitch provides seamless professional management of incoming calls and connects your office to your cell phone.
Call Park - Use in conjunction with the PA to locate appropriate employee(s) in all areas of the office. Retrieve parked calls from any Local Extension.
Call Queue - Provides the caller with an option to leave a message, remain on hold, or return to the Auto Attendant, should your extension be temporarily unavailable. Allows employees to manage multiple inbound calls.
Call Screen - Records a caller's name, then plays it back to the recipient who can either accept or redirect the call. Helps you better manage your time by allowing you to screen for important clients.
Caller ID - TalkSwitch supports three levels of phone company Caller ID
- Class 1 - number only
- Class 2 - name and number
- Class 3 - visual caller ID
Customer Installable - TalkSwitch comes with easy-to-use Windows 95/98ME 2000*/XP*software for trouble free do-it-yourself system administration. Perform changes without expensive technician visits or salaried support staff.

*No USB support on 2000 or XP.
Dial-by-Name Directory - Dial-by-Name directory lets callers quickly find their party by entering the letters of their last name instead of their numeric extension.
Distinctive Ring - Callers can have more than one telephone number to reach the same line. TalkSwitch can handle Distinctive Ring calls in a different manner than the main number. TalkSwitch can save you money by using the Distinctive Ring service instead of adding additional lines to handle different types of inbound calls.
Ethernet Connection - (TalkSwitch 48-CA and 48-CVA only) - For connecting units together over a LAN.
Flash Upgradeable - Update TalkSwitch's feature set with free software upgrade downloads. Allows you to keep TalkSwitch up to date with the latest enhancements.
Intercom - Place calls from any extension to any other extension. Pick up calls from extensions other than your own.
Management - Manage locally or remotely via Serial or USB ports, or ethernet.
Mode Scheduling - Handle incoming calls according to configurations that are based on time-of-day and day-of-week Mode Scheduling. TalkSwitch can professionally handle calls both during and after regular business hours. It is there for you 24 hours a day!
Music on Hold - Play music or announcements while your clients are on hold, queued or being transferred. Create professional message-on-hold with Telephone Magic. You control what your clients hear - radio, CD's, even custom messages created by you.
Network - (TalkSwitch 48-CA and 48-CVA only) - Modularly expandable via the LAN. With TalkSwitch you can network up to four systems anywhere in your office space via the LAN. Expand to 16 incoming lines with 32 local and 32 remote extensions. Each additional unit also provides more voicemail boxes, Call Back lines etc. - Perfect for the growing office.
Remote Extensions - With TalkSwitch's Remote Extensions, any phone, anywhere—mobile, corded or cordless, can be added as an extension of your system. Integrate mobile and teleworkers, stay connected anywhere, and give your customers one single number to contact you.
Ring Groups - A group of Local Extensions that ring in unison. With the use of different ring cadences you can assign the same extension(s) to different departments.
Voicemail - Includes a fully featured voicemail system with 22 (TalkSwitch 24-CA) or 26 (TalkSwitch 48-CA and TalkSwitch 48-CVA) voice mailboxes and 25 minutes of voicemail memory. Built-in voicemail saves you having to purchase phone company voicemail, and it’s centralized, so you don’t have to check different mailboxes for cell and office voicemail.
Voicemail Memory Upgrade - (TalkSwitch 48-CA and 48-CVA only) - TalkSwitch can be upgraded with an additional one half hour, 1 hour, 2 hours or 4½ hours of voicemail memory using the TalkSwitch memory cards. Now you can have extra time for Voicemail, Announcements, and Auto Attendants.
VoIP Calling - (TalkSwitch 48-CVA only) - Place branch-to-branch long-distance calls over the Internet and access service providers’ Internet-based services with built-in VoIP trunks.
